John asked us to send you some photos of Grizzlies. We took these while out with Glen on the 30 May. As you will see they are of mother feeding her three cubs, we gather from Glen quite a rare sight. We watched mother feeding on the rocks with her cubs playing around her for about an hour, she then took them up on the beach only about 50-80 m from us and fed them. The attached are a few photos of the cubs feeding.

And the male was not far behind. We left these bears and had lunch. Came back about an hour later and he was still giving her his undivided attention.

The female eventually retreated to the water to escape some unwanted attention.

A sequence of pictures from late July last year. The darker male was so thin that you could count his ribs but he was not into eating. Although most of the mating takes place in May and June this bear has a one-track mind.
